The overwhelming flow of information on nutrition and supplements can make it quite difficult to know where to start when it comes to improving our overall health and well-being. As such, the amount of information online to boost your health is huge. Fortunately, there is a path to a healthier and more energetic life. And that, starts with a piece of personal guidance.
Persistent health complaints
Do you experience health issues with regularity, or perhaps you suffer from them continuously consciously/unconsciously. Think of:
- Digestive problems;
- Mood swings;
- Constipation/diarrhea;
- Persistent headache;
- Recurrent frontal sinus inflammation;
- Persistent cold;
- Recurrent throat and/or ear infections.
Then know that these are all signals to recognize that there is an imbalance in your body. This can arise, for example, from (unconscious) stress, an unhealthy work/life environment, applying the wrong or insufficient nutrients, or a life where you wear multiple hats that demand a lot from you.
Boost your health
Fortunately, there is always a way to a healthy and energetic life. In addition to the importance of personal guidance and advice, there are already a number of tips you can apply yourself to boost your health in the meantime. Without having to have direct orthomolecular knowledge:
- Listen to Your Body: Do you ever stop to consider your body's signals? If you are tired, rest. It's also okay to not have to and do anything for a few days. If you crave a healthy snack, do so. Even if you crave a piece of dark chocolate. ;)
- Eat when your body demands it: Do you eat at set times because you are used to it? Are you really hungry when you do? Notice what your body does when you eat your breakfast. Does this feel right or do you notice discomfort in your body? By being aware of what your body reacts to, you can also adjust your diet to what feels good. Not only while eating, but also after eating.
- Prioritize sleep: When your health is down for a while, your body needs energy to recover. Your body repairs itself through a good night's sleep. Another thing that supports the reduction of fatigue and tiredness is Magnesium. We have this available in 3 forms. Where Magnesium Malate supports your energy level and Magnesium Taurate or Magnesium Bisglycinate are ideally beneficial for good mental balance.
- Eat foods rich in nutrients: Pure natural and whole foods. Choose grains, fresh vegetables, fruits, healthy fats and lean proteins to nourish your body.
- Move in Nature: There is nothing as nice and relaxing as nature. We humans were made to live in nature. Sitting inside all day are not conducive to our health. Especially if you are not fit: take a walk outside in a forest or park every day. If you are very tired, build up your walk, starting with 15 minutes and going up to 1 hour.
- Consider supplemental supplements: Especially when your vitamin levels are too low, it may be nice to boost your health with additional supplements. Our orthomolecular-trained therapists are happy to look into this with you.
An extra boost
Remember that the above tips are always the first tips we will give you when it comes to your health. Then we have the following tip for you:
