What is matcha matcha?
Matcha powder is made from whole young, organically grown tea leaves. This is steamed, dried and ground, after which powder remains. Matcha powder can be used to make tea, but is also delicious for example in a latte, smoothie, oatmeal or yogurt.
Ingredients
100% organic Japanese matcha powder
Contains no gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame seed, sulphur dioxide, sulphite, lupin or molluscs.
How do you make matcha tea?
1 gram (= 1/2 teaspoon) matcha per cup of tea.
- First, put the matcha in a glass.
- Pour 1-2 ml of cold water over this and whisk with the matcha whisk until all lumps are gone.
- Then pour 100 ml of water at a maximum temperature of 80°C over this and whisk again in a W-shape until a foamy layer forms.
Storage advice: dry, frost-free, not in direct sunlight
