What are intention cards?
Intention cards are cards that guide you in setting a positive intention or thought. Each card includes a different statement that can motivate or get you thinking. The cards help you set daily goals, focus thoughts and pay attention to your own personal development. You can use them weekly as a start to the new week, when you have a question for yourself or are about to undertake a calming activity.
How do you use intention cards?
There are several ways to use intention cards in your daily life. We would like to highlight a few moments for you:
Start the day: begin the day by drawing an intention card. Let this be a message for you throughout the day.
In meditation and relaxation: reinforce the intention you have drawn through a devotional meditation or moment of relaxation. This can also be done, for example, with a cup of tea.
Journaling: write down what the card's message means to you and how you might apply it to your own life.
Together: draw a card together with your family, relatives, partner, friend. Substantiate to each other what this card means to you.
At work: we start the day every Monday morning with the team by drawing an intention card. Each team member draws one card after which we have 1 minute of loafing to let the intention work through. Then intentions are shared that are nice or when someone wants to say something about the intention of the card.
What do intention maps provide?
By being aware of your thoughts and thereby setting intentions for your thoughts. You create a calmer head, more positive thoughts and more motivation. An intention can be just the positive nudge you need or a beautiful card that gets your mind thinking to think differently than you always have.
